Which MLM or Network Marketing company has the best training program?
March 25, 2009 - I'm not looking to make a lot of money doing Network Marketing. I'm looking to improve my networking and sales techniques. Any thoughts on Network Marketing programs that could help me in that way?
Most MLM's seem to train on "emotional intelligence" and basic sales techniques. For example; they'll teach you how to withstand rejection, how to have high self esteem, how to have thick skin. In my personal opinion the training is often more self improvement and basic than nuts and bolts and step by step. Nuts and bolts is the training you'll receive from field leaders. Search until you find an MLM Mentor that can teach you the networking and sales techniques that you're looking for. They are the ones that can teach you step by step techniques. Depending on what sales techniques you're looking to learn will determine where you look. For example; if you were looking to learn from MLM leaders who are experts in writing compelling ad copy, placing those ads and then converting those leads into dollars you might go to cuttingedgemedia.com and request a copy of their magazine and then respond to some advertisements that grab your attention. Keep in mind though that the networking and sales skills needed to be successful in MLM are not unique to MLM. The same techniques can be used to be successful in any other business. The only difference is MLM is the only place you'll find someone with these skills who is willing to teach them to you at virtually no cost. Taking the time to search and find the right mentor for you will be well worth the effort.
Most network marketing opportunities will provide you with a good to excellent support system. After all, if you do not make money, then neither do they. Because network marketing involves the skills of networking and making sales, it is not a good field to go into if you are timid, shy or withdrawn. Your sales will primarily be contingent upon two things; how well you know your product, and how well you can reach your customers. Most current multi-level and network marketing companies that use distributors or consultants to advance the sale of their products, will provide you with a website that is company approved in addition to some kind of training; usually web based, but also mailed in hard copy form, involving a senior consultant (or upline), or in some instances even seminar-style courses. Like any other business venture, prior to becoming involved in any kind of MLM or network marketing sales model, it would be a very good idea to do some research into a few companies at random. Perhaps choose products that appeal to you or that friends or family have been exposed to as your starting point in determining what you yourself would like to sell. By doing this research first, you will give yourself a solid foundation of information about not only the products they offer, but the compensation packages and what kind of training is available to new consultants. Ultimately, by making yourself available to would-be customers and working hard to offer as much information as possible to consumers about what it is that you are selling, you will strengthen your network and build a financially sound business in the process.
I've joined numerous network marketing companies over the years and many of them do not provide proper training in network marketing or sales. Due to this I've been unsuccessful in most of them as sales is not my strong point. However, since I joined Holidays and Cash I've logged on to many of the weekly online training events where the CEO teaches marketing and sales techniques starting with the very basics. He has this training called The DNA of Success which is a good background for a solid foundation in network marketing. He also does training sessions on how to use the various tools which are provided.
