Are there any legitimate home based Internet businesses that are not MLM's or Pyramid schemed based?

Almost anything you find will be MLM, referral marketing, etc. Even surveys can be a MLM structure where if I refer you to take surveys then I will get a small piece of your pie. First, whatever it is called: MLM, Referral Marketing, Network Marketing, etc. is basically one in the same. They are all based on building a network of dealers/distributors. This in and of itself is not illegal. The main thing to consider is that a product needs to be sold. An area that is unstable is when it is information that is being sold. Some of those "opportunities" are illegal. ... ... Another thing to consider is "do you have to sell?" What I mean by selling is, "do you have to push products on people that they probably wouldn't buy anyway?" Almost every opportunity will require selling, including Ebay. Are the quality of the products top notch and will they "sell themselves?" ... ... Are there any up-front costs? Are there any recurring fees? ... ... From my research, I am afraid that you won't find much of anything that isn't MLM, referral marketing, or network marketing based. ... ... With my business, I offer people a free sample and a link to my web site. The packet only costs $1 to me and to the other person if they want to buy it. If they like it, they can go to the internet and sign up for a free web site and order away. I have customers and I have others who are physically building a business with this opportunity. I have had people who started out as customers and by accident almost started marketing the products because of the results. ... ... I hope this helps you and doesn't muddy the waters up too much.
